Germany

The Summer Schools take place in Munich during July and each lasts for one week. They are designed for the following students:

  • Students aged 16-18 years who are about to enter their final year at school and particularly (but not exclusively) for those who are considering applying to universities to take a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Management, or any other related subject.

  • Gap year students aged 18/19 who wish to gain useful skills for the future.

Each course is an action packed 5 days of seminars and workshops with business professionals in Munich. Under the guidance of a team of professional tutors and coaches students gain a first impression of business studies at university level. Each day the students explore core areas of marketing, finance, strategy and economics. Essential skills in time management, presentation, academic writing and interview techniques are also developed. Feedback from students who have attended the summer school is outstanding. In addition the students are unanimous in their view that the experience greatly adds weight to their university application.

UK

In the UK the summer schools take the form of a Mini-MBA. These are held at a highly-ranked independent sixth form college in Folkestone which is a 50 minute train journey from London. Courses are of two or three weeks’ duration and are designed for international students aged 15-17 years. The course consists of five core units - Introduction to Management, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Organisations, and Marketing. On the three week course the additional sixth unit provides students with the opportunity to visit different businesses, having been introduced to the company during classes.

In common with the summer schools in Munich, the Mini-MBA is ideal for international students hoping to develop their CV and boost their university applications. Unlike the course in Munich students also follow a programme of daily sports and cultural activities, weekly London trips and other excursions.
